Restorative Yoga is a powerful practice to deeply rest and restore the mind and body. Simple yoga postures (adapted to suit your body) are completely supported by blankets, blocks and bolsters to enable you to find true rest and leave feeling rejuvenated.
In the first part of the class we'll explore some gentle floor based movement to get rid of any excess energy or jitters, this can be as energetic or as slow as you need- various options will be given depending on how you feel in the moment. Then we'll move steadily towards stillness, exploring one or two restorative poses to find true rest. With guided relaxation/ yoga nidra.
Our bodies need both activity and rest and many of us are hugely lacking in true restorative rest, which is needed in addition to sleep. We spend so much time being busy; this class offers space to slow down and give yourself permission to take comfort in being comfortable. Each restorative pose will be adapted to offer as much comfort as possible, with bolsters and blankets and eye pillows as well as an incredible view when you open your eyes.
