Escape for a morning for a mindful walk to explore fields and woodlands with mindfulness practices. The walk will reach a beautiful woodland where we shall do some forest bathing. A relaxing and rejuvenating morning for all adults.
The walk will shake off any left over stress and tensions so that we can immerse ourselves more easily in forest bathing.
Forest Bathing is a Japanese practice known as 'shinrin-yoku'. Bathing all the senses whilst taking in the forest atmosphere. Shinrin-yoku is restorative, both mentally and physically, like a bath.
Spending at least two hours a week in nature may be a crucial threshold for promoting health and wellbeing, according to a new large-scale study. Regular forest bathing lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, improves empathy and creativity, and boosts our immune systems!
There will also be tea and biscuits in the wood to keep us warm.
Please bring a small mat if you have one, in case the ground is wet and you'd like to sit down.
If the weather is torrential the date may be rescheduled but we'll try to go ahead if the weather isn't too bad.
