Sylva Sisters: Restorative Yoga & Campfire Cooking
10.30am - 4.30pm at National Trust Footprint in Windermere, Cumbria
A day of luxurious restorative yoga in the Footprint building and campfire cooking and baking. We’ll bake bread and cake on the fire and explore different methods of cooking on an open fire, reconnecting with and nourishing our primal selves! The day also includes yoga asana (movement), mindfulness and forest bathing, making the day a nurturing as well as a learning experience. We have the whole woodland and Footprint building all to ourselves to explore and retreat in.
The workshop will include:
- Restorative Yoga. This involves finding various relaxed positions using soft and comfortable props like blankets and bolsters to find true rest. Restorative Yoga takes place in the beautiful Footprint building with its roaring woodburning fire, sounds of the river and the huge windows looking out on to the woodland. A perfect place to let go and hibernate.
- Guided relaxation / Yoga Nidra
- Campfire baking
- Yoga, mindfulness and forest bathing
